ABOUT
Okay, so where does the name POSHBOY come from. Let me start by saying that I do not see my self as some Hugh Grant wanna be. Back in the 70’s there was a punk rock record label by the name of Poshboy (still in existence today). My first introduction to the name Poshboy was by way of the branding of a T-Shirt worn by Chris Lowe of The Pet Shop Boys from their Suburbia single. I have been using this name for my own projects since then. The rest, as they say, is history.
I have been DJ-ing for over 10 years. First starting in the in pubs and small clubs in the UK. Back then DJing was all on turntables. I later moved to Perth, Australia and have since been using digital DJ controllers.
I’d like nothing more than to share my love for music by playing for you when you take to the floor at parties, bars, clubs and lounges. It’s where I am happiest. It’s where I belong.

To me, service comes above all else. The service I receive and the service I deliver. And then there’s music…
Ever since I can remember, I have obsessed about music. Who sang it, who wrote it and who produceda it? Then it was how do you make it? I was the guy who was forever making mixtapes, mix CD’s and putting together endless compilations for every possible scenario. Music to wake to, to work to, to work out to, to cook to, to sleep to and to have dinner to. I can’t even get the kids to school on time until I have got the music sorted for the journey.
Trust me when I say, your event, be it a wedding, a party or a chillout session will not be left to chance. It’s a detail too important to me. As always, there are people who have their own tastes and requests which I’m more than happy to accommodate at the appropriate time and place. Although I consider myself to have a very extensive collection of music, I’m sure at some point I will get asked for a song I don’t have. In this instance I will do my best to get a copy for your event.
By now you should be able to relaxed enough to tick that box “DJ” booked.
Wedding DanceThere aren’t many events that can top a wedding day. From the level of preparation and planning involved, to the expectation of the Bride, Groom and guests. Everything is on the line. From the choice of theme, dress, venue, menu, cake to photographer. The list goes on. There is however, only period of the day that is considered by many to be the mark by which all weddings are measured. That period is the party. Your ceremony may be beautiful, the food exquisite and the speeches on the mark, but if the reception party is a flop then unfortunately, that is how the wedding will be remembered. I have learnt over the years, it is not the wedding that has had the most money thrown at it, but the wedding where the Band / DJ and the guests come together to make the most memorable and talked about day. I truly believe, the day belongs to the Bride & Groom, but the reception belongs to the guests. So thank them for being their on your big day by leaving them with a party they will never forget.
